Super Spirulina Adaptogen Smoothie

A blue-green algae that grows in salt water and sub-tropical climates, spirulina was used a supplement by the Aztecs of Mexico — about the 14th century. Also, spirulina is rich in calcium, magnesium, iron, amino acids, and even protein.
What makes spirulina a great ingredient for smoothies is its relatively mild taste. When you blend it with sweet fruits and leafy greens you can’t even tell it’s in there!

- 1 apple - chopped
- 1 cucumber - chopped
- 1/2 lemon - juiced
- 1 tbsp blue majik spirulina
- 1 tbsp green spirulina
- 1/2 inch ginger powder
- 1/2 cup almond or coconut milk
- 1/2 Swerve or honey for sweetness
PLACE INGREDIENTS IN A BLENDER WITH ICE OR FROZEN BANANA AND BLEND UNTIL SMOOTH.
